15 Fashion Question Tag!

This tag is from http://beautygirl24.blogspot.com/ :) Enjoy!
1. What is your favorite style to wear?
I'd have to say that its anything girly--I'm a very girly girl and I love wearing pretty, feminine clothes. I adore little ruffles and bows and light pinks and pastels.

2. Who is your fashion role model?
My fashion role models are the girls on Gossip Girl (or rather, the people who dress them! lol!). The outfits are always precisely put together and always adhere to their character, making each look unique. Whether is funky florals or an oversized peacoat with bright tights, Gossip Girl stars know how to work their outfit.

3. What do you always have on?
Unless I change it to another necklace, I am always wearing my Tiffany Oval Tag Necklace that I got one year for my birthday.

4. What are your favorite jeans?
Well, it is summer now, and I haven't worn jeans since winter but already have all my jeans for the fall (super early shopping, I know, but I couldn't resist! Last winter, my favorite jeans were this pair from Lucky brand. They were skinny and had the cutest pocket detail. Unfortunately, they no longer fit :( But, I did get a few really cute pairs of jeans at Nordstrom during the Anniversary Sale. I am loving Vigoss jeans! They are super comfortable and super cute, and make me look tall! Perfect :)!

5. What are your favorite sunglasses?
I have this pair of hot pink look-a-like Ray Bans from the BP department at Nordstrom, and I adore them! They're so eyecatching and are my favorite color. Perfect for summer!

6. What are your favorite shoes?
My Steve Madden "Saahara" Sandals in Dusty Gold! I got these in the spring and they are lovely, and also the perfect shoes to wear with almost every outfit. So cute and so comfortable.

7. Who influenced you to write about fashion?
Definitely magazines like Seventeen. I love journalism and fashion, and as a high schooler this is the closest I can get to the business! I love blogging about fashion and think its very fun.

8. What is your favorite store?
If I had to pick just one, I would probably say Nordstrom because they have everything: BP Juniors, shoes, makeup, accessories, everything! I love Nordstrom.

9. Who is your favorite fashion guru on YouTube?
My favorite is JulieG713, she does Fashion Friday videos and theyre always interesting and she has a lot of great videos besides fashion, like makeup and nails and shes very sweet.

10. What is your favorite fabric?
I like anything comfortable, but silk is really nice.

11. Who is your favorite model?
I don't have any specific favorite model, but I do remember that I liked the Coach Poppy model, she did a lot of the ads. Her photoshoots looked fun and bright.

12. If you had $5,000 to spend on any one item, what would it be?
If I were buying a fashion item, it would definitely be some kind of crazy expensive designer bag, perhaps a Louis Vuitton or Chanel handbag. If I could use it for anything...I'd probably put a downpayment for a car...does that count? Lol!

13. Heels or Flats?
Heels! They're more fun :)

14. What purse do you currently use?
I use a huge Coach Poppy Op Art Glam Tote. It holds everything I need it to and is very stylish.

15. Is fashion in your blood or in your jeans?
I'd have to say in my "jeans"! I've really gained a lot of influence from reading fashion magazines, fashion blogs, and watching gurus on YouTube. I have taken what I found there and made it my own, in turn expanding my love for fashion. :)

Hope you all enjoyed this survey! :)

Loving Lush

Once upon a time, I visited my Lush Counter and was swept away by the adorable creatures made from soap and the delicious aromas coming from everywhere. The glittery soaps, the cute designs...ofcourse I fell in love with Lush! I enjoy indulging in their bath products whenever I give myself that time to relax.
Lush Lingo: Bath Products
Bath Bombs: These come in a variety of shapes and sizes and will turn your bath a pretty color while giving it a pleasant scent. In my experience, I find that the scent isn't strong enough, and had to use more of the bath bomb than usual.
Bubble Bar: These are a triple feature! Bubble Bars add a nice color to your bath water, provide a great scent, and produce lots and lots of bubbles! I find that the scent is a lot stronger than in bath bombs and the bubbles are far better than any liquid form "bubble maker" I have tried.

My Favorite Lush Product
The Comforter Bubble Bar

This lovely delight has a fruity, blackcurrant scent that will add something nice to your bath. Its a very different scent, and very pleasing. The Comforter turns your bath water a pretty pink/purple. The bubbles are fabulous. I get a great amount of bubbles (and all the other features) even if I only use 1/4 of the product (which makes Lola very happy to get 4 washes out of this!). The cost is $9.95 for 7 ounces and is definitely worth the price. I have tried out numerous different products, and this is my favorite. If you wanna try out Lush, try out the Comforter Bubble Bar :)

Fashion Tip: Contrasting Looks

When one style or look gets repetitive, the fun thing to do is change it up. One way to do this is to contrast the style. You can do this by using the opposite look or trend mixed with the original piece!
1. Sweet & Fierce
One way to mix sweet and fierce is Florals and Leather. Florals represent the sweet portion, as they are girly and innocent looking. To bring this look to the next level, one can be more rebellious and add a leather piece. I find that the best way to do this is to pair a pretty, floral dress with a black leather jacket!
The Look:

Garden Filled Knit Dress @ Forever 21 for $16.90 in Charcoal/Cream

Cropped Faux Leather Jacket @ Forever 21 for $39.80 in Black

Country & City
Where woven, knit, and country-vibe outfits meet the up-town posh look of the city! This can be tough to do, but with the right outfit it can look great.
The Look

Peaked Satin Blazer @ Forever 21 for $34.80 in Black
This blazer definitely gives a professional vibe that can be found in a classy, trendy city. Wear a simple white, off-white, or cream tank top underneath to keep the attention on the rest of the outfit.

Embroidered Woven Skirt @ Forever 21 for $18.90
This country-style skirt is the perfect contrast to the preppy blazer. It's so cute and feminine. The denim appearance also contrasts to the black satin blazer.

This is just another example of how to contrast two very different styles and make it work! Hope you enjoyed this :)

My Trip To The CCO! Experience and Haul with Pictures!

Last week, I finally went to a CCO! Here is my experience and haul with some background information as well :).
Background Information:
Also known as the Cosmetic Company Store, these are located in outlets. A CCO contains products by Estee Lauder (including MAC, Bobbi Brown, and others) and mostly consist of past collections/items. For example, at MAC I saw items from the past two holiday collections (2009 and 2008), Style Warriors, Mac in Lillyland, Hello Kitty, SciFi Collection, and even a lipgloss from the Fafinette collection. I also spotted the Viva Glam Gaga, but the color didn't interest me so I didn't look into it.
Prices:
From what I found, the prices were a few dollars cheaper than the retail price. It may not seem like much, but it sure does add up! I saved about $15 total and was happy with my purchase. My mom saved a few dollars on her studio fix powder, but was happy to find it anyway since she just ran out! Talk about perfect timing :)
Experience:
After reading not the best things online, I was happy to find that the CCO I went to was very well taken care of. Online, many people noted that it was messy, but I found this one to be clean and in great condition. Everything was set up neatly and in the correct place. There was also a great variety of product. I am a MAC girl, so, ofcourse, I was mainly paying attention to the MAC items and was very impressed. There were many things that you could find in store, like studio fix powders, for a lower price. The majority though was limited edition, which is great if you're also like me and forget to buy something from a collection you like, and then watch it sell out. I was very happy with my first trip to the CCO and will definitely come back!
Haul!
Okay, now to the fun part: what I bought!
Mac in Lillyland Cremeblend Blush in So Sweet, So Easy
With Cover:

Without Cover (This is the True Color!):

Back:

Original Price:$18.50
CCO Price:$13.50
Saved Amount:$5
I was extremely happy to find this blush, I wanted it earlier but it was sold out! Luckily, I found it, and for a lower price! I adore this bluch, its so easy to blend and you can pick whether you want a subtle rosey color or a more pigmented look. I use my fingers to apply; I find that it works better than using a brush.
Next, I purchased an item from the Magic, Mirth, and Mischief (Holiday 09) collection!
Lip Set, 5 Frisky Business Mini Lustreglass/Lipglass
Outside The Box:

Inside the Box:

Swatches!

Original Price: $29.50
CCO Price: $20.75
Saved Amount: $8.75

Overall, I saved $13.75 and was very happy with my purchases, and will surely be back very soon :)
Have you ever been to a CCO? What was your experience like? Did you find any good thigns?

In and Out List According to Lola!

IN:
Blogspot! Yay! I'm officially a blogger.
Grilled Sandwiches My newest favorite delight! Just think, lettuce, tomato and chicken topped off with crispy bread! Yum!
MAC Lipgloss I love my lustreglosses! Soon to be featured in a post :)
Bandeau Bikini Tops These hold up a lot better and look super cute!
Coach Poppy I can't help myself, I love it!

OUT:
Other Blog Sites! Sorry guys, blogspot beats all!
Microwaved TV Dinners Does that sound any bit appetizing or healthy? Uhhh...nope!
Victorias Secret Lipgloss These have been a favorite for a long time, but the squeeze tube isn't as cool as it was back then!
Triangle Bikini Tops Anyone else have problems with these, especially with swimming...you know what I mean. And the horrible tan lines! Bah!
Dooney And Bourke Patterns I was once a proud Dooney and Bourke purse carrier, but I find Coach to be much nicer!

How about you guys? Do you agree with my list? What's on your list?!
Love, Lola

Fashion Tip: Your Signature Color

In the world of fashion, it can become very easy to get lost in the new "it" bag or the most recent pattern trend. However, one should make sure that they keep their own individual spirit in what they wear. For me, I find this in having your own signature color. With this, you become known for wearing a particular color and start a trend of your own. What color do you think my signature color is? Maybe pink? Lucky guess..hehe! Yes, my signature color has been pink long before I watched Legally Blonde, though that definitely supported it! I have been known for wearing hot pink for years.
Whether it is my newest Coach Poppy Pink Kaleidoscope Wristlet

a pretty and feminine headband

or my pink Ugg's

A signature color has to be individualistic--a color that describes you. It is helpful to look at the mood-meanings behind colors if you truly want to look into it, or your color can be something as simple as your favorite hue. Pink came naturally to me, as it stood out and was a happy color. Passionate fashionistas may choose red, nature-lovers may choose green, those cool and collected may fancy blue. The choice is up to you!

Whether it's an entire outfit or just a single piece, the use of a signature color will bring excitement and lighten up your wardrobe! Enjoy!
